Transform Young Lives
Sending a kid to camp can mean their first trip away from home–ever. Their first faith encounter, first time paddle boating, or first time playing an instrument. Every child deserves that experience.
Because every child deserves to experience Camp Mihaska
Across Missouri, 44% of children are living in low-income households (below twice the federal poverty level). In Illinois, 36% of all households are struggling to afford basic necessities. For these families, sending a child to camp is only a dream without your help.
At The Salvation Army, we believe every child deserves the chance to experience joy, belonging, and personal growth—regardless of their family’s financial circumstances. One of the most powerful ways we bring this belief to life is through summer camp.
Nestled in the natural beauty of Bourbon, Missouri, Camp Mihaska provides a safe, enriching environment where children can step away from daily challenges and discover new possibilities. For many of the children we serve, camp is more than just a week away—it is a life-changing experience.
A gift of $5,000 will provide 10 children with the opportunity to attend camp for one full week.
